Swords are the manual damage layer in Defend Your Plushie! TD. While turrets handle normal waves automatically, boss fights demand direct intervention — you stand next to the boss and swing for burst DPS. The sword shop and gacha crates offer three main tiers, from the free starter blade to the rare Nebula Sword. Swords and Boss Fights

Bosses have HP pools that outlast passive turret fire unless you add crowd control. The Freeze Tower slows the boss so your swings connect reliably. Without a sword, boss waves drag on and leaks become likely. With a sword, you cut kill times dramatically — which directly increases Cash per hour during checkpoint boss farming.

Swords are priority three in the standard build order: turrets first, blocks second, swords third, plushie HP last. Do not pull sword crates with code cash from our working codes page until you own at least one Freeze Tower. The 30,000 Cash freeze purchase improves every wave; a gacha pull might miss entirely.

Gacha Crates and Drop Rates

Beyond direct shop purchases, sword crates roll random blades for Cash. The Nebula Sword — S-tier with roughly a 5% drop rate — is the chase item. Budget for multiple pulls or accept that gacha is a long-term sink. Diamond Frozen Sword appears on high-wave servers as a reliable A-tier purchase without gambling. Basic Sword: Early Boss Tool

Every player starts with the Basic Sword. It handles waves 1–30 bosses when combined with a starter turret and simple maze. Swing during freeze windows for maximum effect — stand inside the freeze turret range and attack continuously while the boss is stationary. Diamond Frozen Sword: Mid-Game Upgrade

Diamond Frozen Sword is the workhorse melee weapon for waves 30–80. Its damage pairs naturally with freeze turrets — the name is not cosmetic. Buy directly from the shop when available rather than gambling on crates if you want predictable progression. Nebula Sword: Endgame Chase Item

The Nebula Sword sits at S-tier with roughly a 5% gacha drop rate. It is the top melee option for endgame boss farms and leaderboard pushes.
